What’s My TAG Line?

We want to hear from you! We’re dubbing the way you explore or experience any aspect of the Toronto to Algonquin Greenway (TAG), your ‘TAG line’… Please tell us about it.

Abby in the rapids

Nothing like a cool splash below Buttermilk Falls after cycling the 10 km Stanhope Heritage Cycling Tour. 4-year-old Abby had only been riding a bike for 4 months before taking part in this outing. No training wheels!

Have you gone fishing, birding, camping, kayaking, rambling or biking on any part of TAG, the Toronto to Algonquin Greenway? Are you a train buff with an interest in the history of abandoned railway lines? Are you keen on turtles and wetlands, dragonflies and wild orchids? Are you an expert in creating a memorable gourmet picnic? Did your kids find the best climbing tree trailside?

Compose your best story, photo album, song, poem, or video to portray your experience of TAG.

Just like Stuart McLean’s Story Exchange on CBC Radio’s Vinyl Cafe, we promise we’ll review them all and post our favourites. You can link to YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr or your own blog. You can type directly into the contact form, or send us an email with photos attached. We look forward to each and every story, so Contact us with yours.

Special TAG Challenge: Could you see tackling the entire route – end to end? Maybe bike trailering a canoe or kayak, and portaging a folding bike. Maybe your family will do a different section each weekend of the summer. Maybe you have a novel idea about how to travel the entire Toronto to Algonquin Greenway. We want to hear from you!
